I have been making dvd copies from vhs home video's using MovieFactory 4 for awhile now. I have always played them back on my computer to make sure they record correctly and then play them back for a few seconds on a stand-a-lone dvd player, again to make sure they play back correctly. I created a video of my trip to Thailand on Ulead Video Studio 6 and it looks fine in the preview window. I transfered it over to Movie Factory so that I could burn a DVD and it looks all pixilated (I don't know if that's a real word). It looks like it's made up of small squares that don't quite fit together. Like a digital blur.

Sorry to sound stupid, but really new to this. I have an AVI file which had sound sync problems so I have converted it to mpeg2 using tmpgenc. After creation this mpg is about 2.5 gig.

When I try to use this in movie factory is shows as 5.4 gig meaning I cannot use it.

I have checked that there is a tick in the "do not convert compliant mpeg files"

The files were edited and rerendered with VS and then authored with MF, retaining MPEG audio.
When I play it back in my video DVD player, the sound is in sync with the video, but it goes silent several seconds before the end. Same result when using PowerDVD software to play the DVD.

If all chapter points are removed then the clip will burn. But then you don't get any chapter points.
