			<description><![CDATA[ When capturing with an ADS Pyro Link using an analogue source and Ulead Ulead VideoStudio 7 SE DVD capture stops at 4.193 gigs. I have a dedicated hard drive 80 GB formated NTFS, on its own IDE port and am running WinXP pro. I am running a 1.7 gig athlon xp with 512 megs of ram.<br><br>I am capturing in DV mode with the intent of rendering to MPEG 2 for use on a DVD. I have been able to rejoin the clips and produce acceptable videos but wish to avoid the need to rejoin.<br><br>It does not... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I am working with MSP7, on windows XP system. I have just completed a 38 minuets project, which I want to compress to SVCD. In order to do that, I tried creating a big DV file (about 7 GB), that I can compress using TMPGEnc. The problem is that the DV file which MSP7 creates is corrupted. During its playback, from time to time, many colorful macro blocks (smaller than MPEG macro blocks) appear. 			<description><![CDATA[ This is useful info for anyone who has upgraded from Win98 to XP, and has a system drive that is FAT32 with a video drive that is NTFS.<br>If you format the vid drive in XP's Disk Manager as a dynamic disk/simple volume you will probably have problems of nightmare proportions!<br>1. Nothing will be captured over 3.99 gig in size.<br>2. Hundreds of dropped frames.<br>3. (the worst of all) All your 3.99 gig files will suddenly at any time reduce to 0kb, none existant in other words!?!<br>Format... ]]></description>

I don't have any mics, so I decided to just use the DV Camcorder and record my sound onto it and then just pull the sound off as a file and use that, instead of recording directly on the computer. <br><br>I went ahead and did that and it sounds great.
