			<description><![CDATA[ Because of &quot;freezing&quot; problems with DVD Express, I purchased a PYRO A/V Link (API 555 - although it came with Premier Elements 1.0, not 2.0) hoping that a 1394 interface would work better. Using Premiere Elements, I can only capture to an AVI format - HUGE file size for 2 hour video. I tried using ULEAD Video Studio 8 to capture to an MPEG2 and it works, however the quality of the captured video is poor compared to what I get from DVD Express using CapWiz. 			<description><![CDATA[ I am brand new to Video capturing. I have an AMD 1800, Win XP, AV Link, FireWire card, 120GB 7200 HD, 512GB ram, PNY TI-4600, Plextor 712 DVD-RW. This morning I captured a little analog video from my Sony Handycam. It looked good in the window while it was recording, but when I played it with MS Movie Maker (I think) it was terrible. Splotchy, blurry, washed out. I was short on time so I did not go any farther but I did try it twice with the same results. ]]></description>

I do 3d animation and do my compositing in after effects and export an avi (digital DV/DVCpro - NTSC avi) and then bring that avi into premiere to export to tape. When I play it in the timeline and preview it on my new tv the colors are fine. But when I goto record it to tape the color fades to b/w after about 10 seconds. Any ideas?
