Ready for a chuckle? i've had this problem forever and there is just no easy resolution. This 6 thousand dollar dual processor, scsi raid machine is absolutely worthless.
I simply can't export via DV / Firewire. I get a black screen with little gray artifacts on output. Im at wits end. This 120 lb peice of iron is about to be airborne.
quick facts:
Amd Dual processor
2 gb ram
1 terabyte scsi raid level 5
Ads Pyro pro
I've tried different DV devices; camcorder, My DVCAM deck; and the AVDC100 from Canopus. Same Problem.
Replaced the DV cable - same thing
Updated every driver in my system:
SB Audigy
Direct X 9
video card, etc
(same thing)
I've run through the fixes from adobe - still same thing. I've run through all the fixes from this site - same thing.
This problem occurs in AVID Xpress DV 3.5, Premiere and everything else. So I know it's not related to premiere.
Please folks. Im almost willing to pay good money for a solution. I have unfinished projects and i can't get them out to tape.
Its REEEEEEALY annoying.
